George Bennett
Designer
George always knew he wanted to work in design – his father is a celebrated architect and from an early age George had access to pens, paper, technical drawing instruments and shelves of design books. It was as he worked for his father on CAD illustrations, however, that George realized graphic design was for him and so he attended NUCA.
Whilst in Norwich he developed a passion for typography, and concentrated on fine tuning his skills in this area throughout the three year course. This has had an impact on his branding work at Spring, in particular, and means his brand guidelines are often works of art in their own right.
George attended three internships at Spring as well as a number at agencies in Londonand Norwich, and at the end of his course joined Spring as a graduate trainee. As the newest member of the creative team, George’s internships allowed him to settle in right away and soon his family beach hut was hosting summer lunchtime Spring swimming parties.
He loves the variety of work he can undertake at Spring as well as the agency’s creative, family-like atmosphere. He and Glen Cone spend much of their free time with their skate brand, Jubilee, and George and his jeweler-girlfriend have just bought an old workshop which they plan to convert into a live work unit.
“Spring constantly presents me with exciting new challenges. The team is quality and I live round the corner. What could be better?”
