Bex Spillings
Designer
Bex has a graphic design degree from The Arts Institute at Bournemouth and after graduating spent a year travelling around the world to get inspiration and life experience.
Her career launched at a specialist design and exhibition company, where she progressed quickly to a senior position working on accounts including Tag Heuer and Nokia. After four years she decided to go freelance, and worked for a range of agencies across London.
In April 2010 a position becoming available at Spring allowed her and her then fiance Jonny to move up to Suffolk, his home county. He left his position as a chef for Heston Blumenthal at The Fat Duck and set up an artisan bakery.
Bex loves working for a comparatively small creative team with the ability to work across a broad range of clients and being able to take a job from concept through to print. Her extensive experience of print and video editing has grown to encompass a range of digital projects.
Although she professes to miss the buzz of the city at times, nothing beats driving to work and seeing the sea every morning, especially when the sun is shining in Southwold.
“Spring is such a fun and creative team and I love the challenge of a new design brief. It's great to feel excited about coming to work everyday."
