EDF Energy needed an agency with solid management skills as well as a creative and logistic resource, well versed in communicating the complex issues related to energy generation to a variety of audiences.
We provide hands-on consultation support from our base just 15 miles from the Sizewell C site. We have swiftly become an integral part of the project team.
We manage the extensive database of all engagement activity, including consultation responses, contacts and media output. We compile all feedback at each stage of the consultation process in readiness for reporting and analysis.
We plan and publicise the consultation events and exhibitions, designing and producing all associated event materials including exhibition boards and comment forms. We attend the events, bolstering the project team to discuss the plans with members of the public. We also administer the Community Forums, held to liaise with key stakeholders on a regular basis.
We design, print and distribute regular printed and email newsletters to keep the community informed and updated.
Having people readily available during consultations means we can jump in at a moment’s notice. This is particularly useful given the unpredictable nature of public consultation; and when dealing with such a wide range of stakeholders, from local residents and businesses to interest groups and politicians.
Crucially, we provide invaluable regional input and insight into a communications process that is at the top of the local, regional and national agenda.
