Our positioning – ‘heritage’ – gave Nursey credibility, which its more aggressive, less authentic competitors had no opportunity to replicate.
Embracing eCommerce at a comparatively early stage allowed Nursey to expand their market and reduce their print and media costs. Consistent content planning, regular comms and tactical use of opportunities to promote the brand values – such as awards – have ensured
consistent and manageable growth.
The brand’s written tone of voice is established, warm and high quality and reflects Nursey’s approach to its manufacturing, staff and customer relationships.
These include social media activities, awards, CSR programmes and sales promotions. The results of this are sustained growth across a wider marketplace than would have been possible without the internet and national media interest.
Nurseys sheepskin clothes are handstitched in Bungay, and every year Spring hires models for a day to showcase some of the new and relaunched styles.
Slippers, mittens and more
Not just for coats, Nursey excels at the manufacture of small items like snuggly slippers, baby boots and cosy mittens, all of which we photograph for the website and catalogue.
Nursey has been making its garments in exactly the same way since Mozart's days - by hand - and last year won a Daily Telegraph and Countryside Alliance Award in recognition of their preservation of traditional craftsmanship.
