Community Engagement

We have worked with the East of England Co-Op to support and market their defibrillator installation programme.

Spring created the Every Minute Counts campaign brand, in recognition of the fact that fast access to a defibrillator in the first minutes of a heart attack can be the difference between survival and someone not making it.

We supported the Co-Op, who had partnered with the East of England Ambulance Service, to identify suitable locations in around 100 locations across Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. We did this by engaging directly with opinion formers and wider communities in these locations to seek their views: in preparation for which we undertook intensive Hyperlocal Everywhere research.

The success of this exercise has seen East of England Co-Op place this potentially life saving equipment in harder to reach communities across the region and provided local people with the opportunity to learn basic CPR skills from the East of England Ambulance Service and First Responders.
