There’s a cultural revolution going on in the east of England. The region’s music, theatre, art and literature generate worldwide interest, attract tourism and set the bar high for the rest of Britain.
DanceEast is one of the East’s cultural leaders, from its spectacular headquarters on Ipswich waterfront, the Jerwood Dancehouse. This dance company is creating world class performance and training young dancers to become some of the best in the world.
It’s a joy to work with them, to create exciting graphic design and writing for their programmes and event publicity. This is a great partnership, which allows Spring to explore innovative new ideas to communicate the creativity at the core of DanceEast.
The organisation’s new website expresses the brand’s vivacity with use of large cut out spaces that create a frame for performance photography. With integrated booking functionality, the site has to work hard: visitors can find out more about dance education, community outreach, performances, and even book the Jerwood Dancehouse for their own events.
And the Jerwood DanceHouse has now been transformed with large scale branding and creative wayfinding systems, drawing together brand design elements including typography and photography to ensure that the DanceEast brand is highly visible throughout this iconic headquarters building.
